Are you sociable and enjoy chatting to people? Would you like to make a difference to someone's day?

Having nobody to talk to regularly can be lonely, particularly if you're used to sharing your home and time with others. A friendly, chat on the phone every week can make all the difference.

We are currently looking to recruit new volunteers for the 'Keep Well - Hinckley and Bosworth'

This is a weekly telephone check in call to those in isolation (across the ages) who are currently feeling lonely or have found themselves alone due to being separated from family. As many of you can appreciate, or are experiencing yourselves, being separated from loved ones and having to isolate during the pandemic, brings on many challenges. A friendly call from someone definitely makes a difference to a person’s day!

In conjunction with this, we are also recruiting volunteers for the Barwell & Hollycroft Telephone Befriending Service. This serves the elderly patients registered to both the Barwell & Hollycroft Medical Surgeries who are also feeling vulnerable and isolated, in need of a friendly ear.
